Art has the ability to educate, to spark contemplation and even inspire the introspection of the viewer. Little, if any, thought is given to the impact art and societal issues have on an artist and how they create in the manner in which they create. What shaped their viewpoint?

Cbabi (pronounced Kuh-bob-bi) Bayoc is a visual artist and illustrator. His work can be identified through unique, bold and colorful artistry, while adding some “phunk”.

Musician Prince, a fan and collector of Bayoc’s, selected one of his masterpieces to be featured on his 2001 album, Rainbow Children.

Bayoc continued to excel throughout the years where he draws inspiration from personal experiences, community engagement, world issues, education and so much more. If you were to visit St. Louis, you will probably see Bayoc’s masterpieces on/in homes, hospitals, residential buildings, within small businesses and major corporations, throughout schools, in libraries and other areas where appreciation of art can be acknowledged.
